Title: Picking Up The Pieces
AuthorIlleana Starbright
Status: Incomplete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 6,168
Summary:
He was alive. Rhaegar Targaryen was alive and he had returned to face each of the regents one by one. Beginning with Robb Stark. AU.
Comment:
It’s a bit overly optimistic, namely both Robb and Stannis being perfectly okay with rolling over to Rhaegar with little to no negotiation. Plus, some parts are a bit OOC, Robb’s lines and his immediate suggestion of R + L = J. That aside, I really love Rhaegar.

TitleDeath in the Air
Author: I Can’t Get No Stannisfaction
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: ? Oneshot
Summary:
(?, I can’t find a summary) Arya is in Westeros to see Lady Stoneheart
Comment:
Arya being a Faceless Man, this fic feels lonely in a way. It draws comparisons to how both Lady Stoneheart and Arya are driven by revenge.

TitleSo Long as the Peace is Kept
Author: Summer Sea Child
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 1,924
Summary:
Five years after Theon comes to Winterfell, Balon Greyjoy rises in rebellion once again.  Ned Stark does what he must.
Comment:
The flip side to being honourable is that you always have to keep your promises, even when those promises are painful. Weirdly, I’m not sure if Ned is OOC in this or not, he’s such a good man it’s hard to believe he could execute a boy he’s practically raised. But then again, if Ned didn’t do it somebody else would have and he knew it.

Title: A Wolf Would Not Like the Sea
AuthorSummer Sea Child
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 686
Summary:
Theon Greyjoy doesn’t want a direwolf.  Really he doesn’t.
Comment:
The way this fic talks about Theon’s sense of identity without directly speaking of it at all is fascinating. The conflict within Theon between the North and The Iron Islands is painfully real, as is the frustration of being a hostage, even a well cared for one.

Title: Crown’s Gamble
Author:
Status: Incomplete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 6787
Summary:
In which Ned Stark sets aside honor, plays it smart, and many things change. But still more stay the same.
Comment:
Ned doesn’t ‘set aside honour’ exactly, although maybe that’s where the fic was going. It’s an interesting little AU, and it really drives home how critically important those hours before and after Roberts death were. It wish its abandoned but oh well.
While it is completely in character, the fact that Ned cares so much to line of succession yet refuses to even think of Daenerys or Viserys seriously annoys me. I mean compared to them, Stannis’ claim to the throne isn’t much better than Jofferys

TitleThey Took Some Honey, And Plenty of Money
Author
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 1764
Summary:
A knight, a pirate, and stray wolf cub, lost at sea.
Comment:
Feminism! There’s something undeniably awesome about having the 3 physically strongest female characters in one oneshot

Title: Step Forwards
Author
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 695
Summary:
Her cousins’ small bodies were placed before the throne in this room. But this Rhaenys Targaryen walks up the long path to kneel before a man whose brother nodded approvingly to those corpses. But she is not here to die.
Comment:
I’ve read a lot of ASoIaF AUs over the years but this one stands out for originality.

Titleno one can hurt you now
Author
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 5598
Summary:
At Arya’s request, Jaqen steals into King’s Landing and rescues Sansa.
Comment:
A happy little AU. Not ‘silly’ happy but optimistic happy.

Title: The Wandering Wolf
AuthorOberon Sexton
Status: Incomplete
Pairing(s): OC/Leonette Fossoway, OC/Nymeria Sand, probably more but i can’t remember…
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 194,029
Summary:
AU: What if Ned had a third brother? what would be his place in the world? Just how would he affect the War of the Five Kings?
Comment:
Oberyn Sexton is very good as two things; creating a horde of complex and interesting OCs and understanding the world of ASoIaF. You really get the sense that William Stark could be canon for how well the character is integrated into the universe. A word of warning would be that the OC spends half his time completely separate from the main characters of ASoIaF, which I like but some people may not.

Gendry/Arya

TitleFive Times Arya Stark Shared a Bed With Gendry
Author
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): Gendry/Arya
Rating: Explicit
Length: 11870
Summary:
She is Arya Stark of Winterfell, a girl with four brothers who has always felt more comfortable in the company of men, but Gendry…Well, he’s just confusing
Comment:
I like the significance of Gendry’s understanding of Arya in this fic. Both before the War and in Braavos Arya has always been misunderstood and had difficulties with her sense of identity. The fact that Gendry understands her therefore means a lot. I also like to think that after the end of this fic, Gendry allows Dany to take the Iron Throne and becomes Lord of Storm’s End but who knows?
As always, I don’t like having a King in the North.

TitleFive Times Gendry Treated Arya Like a Girl
Author
Status: Complete
Pairing(s): Gendry/Arya
Rating: Non-explicit
Length: 5383
Summary:
Arya Stark is his best friend, and she has never wanted to be treated like a lady. But sometimes Gendry forgets.
Comment:
Arya is suitably badass. Gendry is suitably reliable. The greatness of Gendry in this fic cannot be measured. Arya comes off as strong, and she is, but the scenes where she grieves or exposes her innocent side can be refreshing.
As always, I don’t like having a King in the North.
