First Words of an Arsehole (Joffrey/OC)

The first words he ever spoke to her;

“I’ll get a big man to put a sword in you, this is my place”

This said a lot about a six-year-old Joffery Baratheon

She, in return, made an equally telling statement

“Nuh-uh ‘cose I can do magic”

That made the young Prince pause, after all, if she could do magic then so should he be able to because he was to be king.

“Prove it! I bet you’re a liar” He wailed

She froze for a moment before throwing on a fairly transparent mask of confidence. Slowly the girl reached into a pocket of her tattered ruddy skirts and produced an equally ruddy-looking coin

The prince followed this like a hawk

“That not magic, I knew it” proclaimed the Prince, smugness hanging from his small face

“I haven’t gotten to the magic bit yet” She huffed

She raised both her hands; her left empty while her right held the coin

“What’s this?” She said, referring to the coin

“It’s just a coin, stupid”

She feigned putting the coin in her left hand –but secretly kept it in her right- and subtly put her right hand down

“That is so no-“

She interrupted the prince by opening her left hand, where no coin was to be found, his eyes widened in amazement

“Where’d it go?” Joffery was utterly mystified

Now was when to strike, she leaned in with her right hand -keeping the coin concealed- and ‘retrieved’ the coin from behind the princes’ ear

“It was here all along!”

“Magic!” cried the boy, who spent the next minutes searching his ears for yet more magic coins.

By the time he looked up, the girl had vanished.

Maybe she was magic…
